It’s a wrap-up for the second round of the FIA Formula 2 season this Sunday at the sunny Red Bull Ring in Austria, where Guilherme Samaia took another step in his learning process against more experienced drivers in the field. The Brazilian managed to complete the program and finished both races in 20th and 17th, respectively.

A difficult task for the 23-year old Campos Racing, who had to learn how to deal with the softer Pirelli compounds and, afterwards, to tame a 620hp-powered car in the wet track on Saturday’s Feature Race. On Sunday, Samaia struggled with the inicial pace regarding tyre temperatures, but kept getting up to speed and fought his way to finish 17th and have some more miles under his belt.

“It’s a building-up experience. I struggled with tyre temperatures with full thank, which is the car condition we all have in the start of the race. The most importante thing was to gain a good mileage. Evereytime I go to the track a learn a lot more in how to deal with everything. So I am happy to complete the whole schedule without making compromising mistakes and I am looking forward to go to the Hungaroring next weekend”, says Guilherme.
