The beautiful and peacefull Tuscany will break a little of its peace as the engines will roar this weekend for the first time at the 5,245-meters Mugello circuit. A fast, physical demanding track for drivers and tires as well. Based on the fact that no one of the current F2 grid have raced with the Dallaras F2 at the Ferrari-owned circuit, Guilherme Samaia sees a little bit of equality regarding the field.
“It can be an advantage, but at the same time we will see that the teams who have had a better understanding of the 2020-spec tires will still be in front”, he highlights. “I loved to drive around Mugello in the simulator. Necks and tires will suffer a bit more that we are used to. Physically demanding, the driver doesn’t have much time to breathe, because there’s only one long straight. It is very fun to drive. I liked it. Can’t wait to get in the car and go around Mugello”, points the Brazilian.
Free practice and qualifying sessions take place on Friday at 12.55 and 17.00 respectively. Saturday’s feature race is scheduled at 16.45 with Sunday’s sprint race getting underway at 11.55. All times are CET.
